Home Committees Board Member
Committee and Board

The Committees of The Lakes at Cedar Grove:
Each of the committee members are volunteers - he or she may be a friend, a neighbor, or someone that just drives by and waves hello.  The best way for you to get involved in our community is to join one of these committees, or offer some of your time to support them.

We have a number of committees that will assist all of us in protecting our property values and quality of life.  The committees need assistance in terms of people joining in and helping as a team.  We have residents who have joined the Code Enforcement Deputy program.  We have the Beautification Committee that reports beautification violations to our HOA VP who in turn contacts our Management Company and the Advisory Committee.  We have the Neighborhood Watch Committee that focuses on safety and reports violations to law enforcement and the Advisory Committee.  We have the Hospitality Committee whose job it is to provide fun and welcome new residents.

In March 2009, we elected our second Board Member, Jeff Winston.  The Board of Directors currently consists of three members.  The other two members are Chuck Olderman, President and Brian Lu Secretary, both employees of Cousins Properties, Inc.  In accordance with the Declaration of the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions and Bylaws for the Lakes at Cedar Grove, additional Board members will be elected.  When the Board is complete, there will be a total of five members as 75% or 680 homes are sold and occupied.  The role of the Board is to ensure that the Covenants are adhered to and to manage common areas.  Mr. Winston's experience as a Professional Engineer with expertise in project management is vital as a Board member with fiduciary responsibilities.  He will work closely with the Advisory Committee.
